Yukon Nominee Program
The Yukon Nominee Program (YNP) is the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) for the Yukon Territory, one of Canada’s three northern territories. It is a program designed to attract and retain skilled workers, businesspeople, and entrepreneurs to the territory, as well as to support its economic growth and development.
The YNP offers three streams for applicants:
- Yukon Express Entry (YEE) Stream
- Skilled Worker Stream
- Business Nominee Stream
Each stream has its own eligibility criteria, and the application process and required documents may vary. It is recommended that applicants carefully review the requirements for the stream they are interested in before applying.
Review the eligibility criteria for the stream you are interested in and ensure that you meet all requirements. Find a job with a Yukon employer and receive a job offer.
Candidates for the Yukon Express Entry stream and the Skilled Worker stream must submit an EOI to the YNP indicating their interest in immigrating to the Yukon. The EOI will be reviewed and scored based on factors such as education, language proficiency, work experience, and connections to the Yukon.
Candidates who meet the requirements for the stream they applied for and receive a high score on their EOI will receive an ITA to apply to the YNP.
If the application is approved, the candidate will receive a nomination certificate from the YNP, which will allow them to apply for permanent residency through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). With the nomination certificate, the candidate can now apply to IRCC for permanent residency.
