CANADA SPONSORSHIP - PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS

Canada Sponsorship- Parents and Grandparents is a program offered by the Canadian government that allows Canadian citizens and permanent residents to sponsor their parents and grandparents to come and live with them in Canada as permanent residents. The program is designed to help families reunite and stay together in Canada.

To be eligible for the program, the sponsor must meet certain criteria, such as being over the age of 18, being a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, and meeting certain income requirements. The sponsor must also sign a sponsorship agreement with the Canadian government, in which they agree to provide financial support to their sponsored parent or grandparent for a certain period of time.

The program is very popular, and the number of applications exceeds the number of available spots each year. As a result, the Canadian government conducts a lottery to select the applications that will be processed each year. Once an application is selected, the sponsored parent or grandparent must go through a medical examination and criminal background check before being granted permanent residency in Canada.

The first step is for the sponsor to express their interest in sponsoring their parents or grandparents by submitting an online interest to sponsor form during the specified period. The form is usually available for a short period of time and is announced by the Canadian government.

The Canadian government selects sponsors at random from the pool of applicants who have submitted the interest to sponsor form. Those who are selected will receive an invitation to apply to sponsor their parents or grandparents.

After receiving the invitation, the sponsor must submit a complete application to sponsor their parent or grandparent, along with all the required supporting documents. The application package should include forms and documents for both the sponsor and the sponsored parent or grandparent. Once the application is processed, the sponsored parent or grandparent will need to undergo medical and security checks.

If the application is approved, the sponsored parent or grandparent will be issued a permanent resident visa and will be able to move to Canada to live with their sponsor. The sponsor will sign a sponsorship agreement with the Canadian government, agreeing to financially support the sponsored parent or grandparent for a specific period of time.
