Alberta Advantage Immigration Program

Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP)

The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) is an immigration program offered by the province of Alberta, Canada, that allows the province to nominate eligible candidates for permanent residence in Canada to the federal government’s Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

The AAIP has several streams that target specific groups of potential immigrants such as skilled workers, semi-skilled workers, graduates, entrepreneurs, and self-employed individuals. Each stream has its own eligibility criteria, and the selection process varies accordingly.

The AAIP is designed to help the province meet its labor market needs by attracting and retaining qualified immigrants who have the skills and experience needed to contribute to Alberta’s economy and society. To be eligible for the AAIP, candidates must meet the criteria for one of the program’s streams and have a genuine intention to settle in Alberta.

Review the eligibility criteria for the AAIP stream that you wish to apply under to make sure that you meet the requirements. Each stream has its own criteria related to education, work experience, language proficiency, and other factors.

If you meet the eligibility requirements for an AAIP stream, you will need to create an online profile and submit an Expression of Interest (EOI). Your EOI will be evaluated based on factors such as your work experience, education, language proficiency, and other criteria. If your EOI is successful, you may receive an invitation to apply for the AAIP and you will need to submit a complete application with all of the required supporting documents.

If your application is successful, you will receive a nomination from the AAIP. This means that you have been nominated by the province of Alberta for permanent residence in Canada.

With your AAIP nomination, you can apply for permanent residence with the federal government’s Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Your application will be processed by IRCC, which will make the final decision on whether to grant you permanent residence in Canada.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
