Hi, How Can We Help You?

Agri-Food Immigration Pilot

Agri-Food Immigration Pilot

The Agri-Food Immigration Pilot is a Canadian Federal Economic Program that was launched in 2020 to help address the labor shortages faced by the agri-food sector.

The program is designed to attract and retain experienced, non-seasonal workers who can meet the needs of the agri-food industry, such as meat processing, mushroom and greenhouse production, and livestock-raising industries.

The pilot program will run until May 2023, and will allow up to 2,750 principal applicants per year, along with their accompanying family members, to become permanent residents.

To apply for the Agri-Food Immigration Pilot, you must first find a job offer from a Canadian employer in one of the eligible occupations under the program. The employer must be located in one of the participating provinces or territories.

Once you have a job offer and meet the eligibility criteria, you can apply for a work permit. This permit will allow you to work in Canada temporarily while you complete the other requirements for permanent residency.

You must gain work experience in Canada for a minimum of one year in an eligible occupation under the Agri-Food Immigration Pilot program. To be eligible for permanent residency, you must meet the language and education requirements specified by the Agri-Food Immigration Pilot.

After meeting the eligibility criteria and completing the other requirements, you can apply for permanent residency through the Agri-Food Immigration Pilot program.
